Welcome to the Riata Combined Training Association

Three-day Eventing is most commonly referred to as the triathlon of horse sports. Comprised of dressage, cross country, and stadium jumping, it traces back to its use as a training system for military horses to test their obedience, bravery, and stamina. While the original purpose and format for the sport has changed, it is still considered as the ultimate test of trust between horse and rider. Today, thousands of people enjoy the sport from the tiniest of the starter trials to the big names in the professional world.

Here at the RCTA, we encourage the safety of horses on and off of the courses. Patient and slow training is our method of madness to help ensure a happy and healthy competitor who will compere for many years to come.

The RCTA was formed by Danya, the owner of Lochcraven Equestrian Center and flourished underneath her care. Currently, the RCTA is run by Ashley, the owner of Jardin Estate Farms; which is home to a fairly large eventing string.

We are always looking for fresh new ideas and for members to host RCTA approved events. If you would like to submit an idea or want to host an RCTA approved event, feel free to contact Ashley via the forum. All other contact information can be found underneath the contact link in the navigation bar.
